Here's the Deal.....

Hello everyone! I just noticed on my sisters blog that I hadn't posted anything for 4 months. How sad is that???

It actually stopped about the time I went back to work full time. Who would have thought I'd enjoy being at work. I do however miss my time to myself and also the kids. We shall see what Christmas Break brings as to whether or not I can work through the summertime.

I work at a company called Home Health Services, Inc. We are the parent company for Southern Utah Home Care and Hospice, Southern Nevada Home Care, Virgin Valley Home Care and Hospice and Granite Mountain Home Care and Hospice. Our website is www.nursingathome.com if you feel like you want to check it out. I work in the Accounts Payable Department. (I am the Accounts Payable Department.) I have been there since September of this year. I am really enjoying it. \

RJ is still working at Stephen Wade Powersports. It is still going slow. It is his slow season, but it doesn't help that the economy took a nose dive. He has been praying for snow and Monday we got a foot of snow at our house. I love the snow and I miss having it, but not for 9 months like we did in Alaska.

Shelby is still doing her cheer thing. She really loves it. In the next couple of weeks she will be getting her drivers permit. SCARY HUH?!?!? She should do fine but it is hard to believe that I am old enough to have a 15 yr old.

Kestin has grown about 8 inches in about a month. He has finally hit that growth spurt that we all hear about. Voice changing, growth, moodiness, laziness. All that fun stuff.

Grayson is still his "little man" self in a little boy body. Since I started work, he is my shadow in the morning. He follows me around like a lost little puppy. He has never known anything but mom being at home so mom at work has been an adjustment for him.

Hope everyone is well. Hopefully when I get my internet connection in Jan. I will be able to keep up with this again.

Love to all our friends and family.

Merry Christmas!

Oh, Pioneers

July 24th is a state holiday in Utah.

It is called "Pioneer Day" (some info @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pioneer_Day_(Utah)).
Both Grayson and Shelby were in the parade.
Grayson was on the float for our church primary.

Grayson is right at the front of the trailer. I couldn't get a better picture.

Shelby was on the float for Enterprise HS Cheer Squad.

They also got off and did part of thier pom-pom dance.

The parade lasted about 45 min which is surprising due to the population of Enterprise.

It was a fun morning.

I've been Tagged!!!

Thank you Janell!

How to play the game. Post these rules on your blog: List 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 goals, 3 current obsessions, and 3 random surprising facts about yourself. Tag 5 people at the end of your post by leaving their names.

3 Joys- My family, my friends, the knowledge that the gospel is true

3 Fears- Heights, bees, throw up sickness.

3 Current Obsessions- Regular Coke (mmmmm!!! but so fattening),
Blue Diamond Hickory
Smoked Almonds, reality TV shows.

3 Random Facts- I hate the taste of Pepto-Bismol or anything that has that sort of flavor, yuck!
I hate to fold the whites when they come out of the dryer, especially the socks!
I was just called to teach the CTR 5's.

Ok, So I have to tag people. Donna Shoop, Monica Stanton, Nikki Estes, Mardi Gubler, and.... do I know anyone else who has a blog????

Fun with Friends!!!

I was fortunate enough to go to Solitude Ski Resort July 16-18th and see some of my awesome friends from Lacey WA. 2 of those friends now live in Utah as well. (Hopefully we will be able to see each other more often now that we are only 4 hours away.)

We all had a blast though unfortunately, not everyone was able to stay. We were able to see Tiffany and Carol Wednesday night. Both already had plans for those days that everyone was there. Thursday we went to Temple Square and saw the "Joseph Smith" Movie. That was great. (When I came home and told Shelby I'd seen it, she said, "Oh, I saw that at YW at the St George Temple." Shows you how smart I am.) Friday was cut a little short. I was planning to stay as long as possible (you know that means about 2am Sunday), but my friend Angela is probably movie to Boise so they all went to Boise to do house hunting on Saturday. I was very, very tempted to tag along, but I don't think that RJ would have been to keen on the idea.

It was great to see everyone again, and we plan to do this once a year. Can't wait Ladies!!

You all are great!!

Bored Much???

Ok, so we were only about 5 days into summer, when Kestin digs out his K-nex. He had gotten onto the computer to see how big the largest structure was that was built out of K-nex. It happened to be I believe a roller coster that stood about 24' high. Kestin then decided to build the largest tower. Here are pictures of his efforts.

Music, Music, Music!!

Shhhhh, She's concentrating!!!

This last school year Shelby had participated in a beginning guitar class at school. On May 14th, 2008 (see how good I am about posting?) Shelby's classmates had a spring concert.

(You should also know that she has had this guitar for about 3.5 years, and just learned how to play. I know bad parenting on my part.)

They played along with the orchestra on some songs which was neat to get to hear.

Guitar class played "Ode to Joy" by Beethoven, "Worried Man Blues", and "Rollin' in My Sweet Baby's Arms" . Together with the orchestra, they played "Greensleeves".

It was great to see her and hear her play the guitar.

I fully admit to being a slacker!!!

Ok, Ok, Ok! I have put this off long enough. As my wonderful friend Janell has pointed out to me that I need to post. Soooooo, I will be back posting some. I did finally change my background yesterday with the help of my sister Mardi for some wonderful and helpful sites. So here I go.

Happy Birthday to Me??!!

OK, So I just turned 34. Remember when you were younger and thought how old that was???

I don't feel any different, or feel old by any means.

No big shindig to celebrate the day. We had ice cream cake at my mom and dad's house (my favorite!!) Then came home and watched American Idol.

Seasons of Service

On April 8, 2008, I attended a performance at the Tuachan Amphitheatre. The performance involved 18 elementary school choirs from the Washington County School District.

The theme was "Seasons of Service". The basis of this program was based on the "Prevention Dimensions" curriculum adopted by the State of Utah Education Department http://www.dsamh.utah.gov/preventiondimensions.htm , which teaches about safety, mental health and drug abuse.

Each choir performed a song out of the curriculum. Each song was choreographed by the students and the directors. All choirs participated in the opening and closing numbers as well.

Our choir was made up of the 4th, 5th and 6th grade classes. They sang the song "Buckle Up".

They were told that this is the first time that they had that many people on the stage. It was a great program (long, but great).

"Fly Like an Eagle..."

On Friday March 28th, 2008, Kestin received an award at school called the "Eagle Award". These awards are given to students in each class, once a month, and Kestin was picked for March. Using the mic is Kestin's teacher Mr. Truman. He awarded this to him because he is "a great friend, a great student, and very liked by all of his classmates." We are greatful to have such a likeable kid!!!!

This should be FUN!?!?!

I was told that I should get one of these started. Soooo... I will follow suit of my 2 sisters. It will be interesting to see how well I keep up with all of this. Maybe once I get started, it'll be like a good book that I can't put down. (Nothing else will get done in the mean time!)
